Wishbone Ash Brings Their Legendary Sound to Edmond Town Hall – November 6

Fans of classic rock are in for a treat this fall when Wishbone Ash  one of the most influential rock bands to emerge from the late ’60s and early ’70s—takes the stage at Edmond Town Hall (45 Main Street, Newtown, CT) on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Few bands can claim the kind of legacy that Wishbone Ash has built over more than five decades. Formed in 1969, the band helped shape the progressive rock movement, combining melodic rock, British folk influences, American jazz, and R&B into a sound all their own. They are best known for pioneering the twin lead guitar harmony, a groundbreaking approach that went on to inspire countless artists—from Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden to modern acts like Opeth

At the heart of Wishbone Ash is founding member Andy Powell, whose soaring guitar lines and lead vocals have defined the band’s sound since day one. Powell is joined by Mark Abrahams (guitar), Bob Skeat (bass), and Mike Truscott (drums), creating a lineup that continues to deliver both power and precision in equal measure.

Over the years, Wishbone Ash has released an astonishing 24 studio albums11 live albums, and five live DVDs—a testament to their staying power and creative spirit. With fans spanning generations and continents, their live performances remain as vital and electrifying as ever.
