Bridgeport is a historic seaport city in the U.S. state of Connecticut, and its largest city. It was established in 1821, and currently has a population of close to 140,000. Bridgeport is home to the Beardsley Zoo, several museums and theaters, and a couple of large venues. The Black Rock section of town is a seaside community, which was settled in 1644.
