Orange is a town in New Haven County, Connecticut. The town is part of the South Central Connecticut Planning Region and is governed by a Board of Selectmen.
The Paugusset and Algonquian people previously inhabited the region that is now Orange. In 1639, Rev. Peter Prudden purchased the land from the Native Americans for six coats, ten blankets, one kettle, twelve hatchets, twelve hoes, two dozen knives and a dozen small mirrors.
The town is named after William III of England, who was Prince of Orange from birth in November of 1650.

Touch A Truck in Stamford Downtown Returns WHAT: Touch A Truck in Stamford Downtown DETAILS: Stamford Downtown hosts Touch A Truck in Veterans Memorial Park Stamford Downtown, in partnership with several City of Stamford departments, invites families to a free, fun-filled event during Stamford Public Schools’ Spring Break. Touch A Truck offers kids the exciting chance to climb aboard, explore, and interact with a variety of vehicles. From fire trucks and police cars to buses and construction equipment, children can get up close to the big rigs and powerful machines they usually only see from afar. Participating organizations include the Stamford Fire Department, Stamford Police Department, Stamford Emergency Services, the City’s Operations Department, the Ferguson Library, and CT Transit. This interactive event is the perfect opportunity for children to discover their favorite trucks and learn more about the people who operate them. Sponsored by YogaSix, Goldfish Swim School, and Star 99.9, with engaging activities provided by Stamford Downtown, Pickleball America and Mill River Park.
