Orange is a town in New Haven County, Connecticut. The town is part of the South Central Connecticut Planning Region and is governed by a Board of Selectmen.


The Paugusset and Algonquian people previously inhabited the region that is now Orange. In 1639, Rev. Peter Prudden purchased the land from the Native Americans for six coats, ten blankets, one kettle, twelve hatchets, twelve hoes, two dozen knives and a dozen small mirrors.


The town is named after William III of England, who was Prince of Orange from birth in November of 1650.

Milford CT: -For more than five decades, families from across Connecticut, New York, Long Island, and beyond have made their way to Milford each summer to experience one of the state’s longest-running coastal fair traditions. The Downtown Milford Business Association (DMBA) announces the official entertainment lineup for the 2026 Fair on the Half Shell, returning to the Historic Milford Green on Saturday, August 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., bringing together more than 300 artisans and makers, 20+ food trucks, family attractions, environmental exhibits, and interactive experiences, all with free admission and sponsored by United Illuminating (An Avangrid Company) and Loyal Nine Cocktail Co.
