"Verso Fest '24 Starts This Wednesday, April 3rd!"

Since 2022, VersoFest has blossomed into Connecticut's premier music extravaganza. 🎶 Featuring a rich tapestry of local and global stars like The Smithereens, Sunflower Bean, producer Steve Lillywhite, and many more, it's a cultural powerhouse! 🌟

This year, from April 3 to April 7, the Westport Library hosts an electrifying five-day celebration of music and media. Highlights include conversations with visionaries like Chuck D and Akashic Books' Johnny Temple on April 3, and Tony Visconti with WFUV's Paul Cavalconte on April 6. New addition John Densmore, legendary Doors drummer, joins in conversation with CNN's Alisyn Camerota on April 7, discussing his book "The Doors Unhinged."

Camerota, steeped in punk rock history, adds a unique flair with her connections to bands like Shrapnel. 🎸 VersoFest 2024 promises top-notch performances including The Lemon Twigs and DJ HYSTERICA on April 4, and Spin Doctors with Nick Depuy on April 5. Panels and workshops dive deep into music and media realms, catering to diverse interests.

The festival closes with a tribute to hip hop's Wild Style film, featuring icons like Tony Tone and Grand Wizzard Theodore. 🎥 Food trucks will spice up the Library Café's offerings, thanks to community support and affordable rates. Events will be recorded for wider access, ensuring VersoFest's magic reaches far and wide. Don't miss this unforgettable experience!
