Southern Rock Firestorm: Parker Barrow Live at The Palace Theatre Stamford – September 19

Get ready for a night of Southern rock grit and bluesy soul when Parker Barrow takes the stage at The Palace Theatre Stamford on Friday, September 19

Fronted by powerhouse duo Megan Kane (vocals) and Dylan Turner (drums), and joined by Alex Bender (guitar), Will Tipton (guitar), Bo Howard (bass), and Eric Safka (keys), Parker Barrow delivers a high-energy show that’s equal parts heart, swagger, and musicianship. Whether performing as a 6-piece or expanding to a 10-piece ensemble, the band’s sound is bold and unforgettable.

Inspired by the infamous outlaw couple Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, Kane and Turner aim to embody that same fierce connection and adventurous spirit—only this time, in pursuit of their rock ’n’ roll dreams.

Blending influences from The Black Crowes, Allman Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Whiskey Myers, Parker Barrow infuses every performance with blues-rich storytelling and Southern rock fire. Their chemistry on stage, fueled by faith and a love for the road, makes each show feel personal and electric.

From intimate acoustic sets to full-blown rock showcases, Parker Barrow is a rising band that’s blazing its own trail—and leaving a lasting impression with every performance.

Danbury, CT – The Danbury Library invites the community to join in a vibrant celebration of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, on November 8, 2025 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at the library , 170 Main Street. This engaging program will explore the rich culture and traditions surrounding Diwali, a significant festival in Hinduism as well as in Jainism and Sikhism, celebrated by millions around the world. Diwali symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. The celebrations, which occur between mid-September and mid-November, typically last for five to six days and feature a variety of cultural activities. This year, the Danbury Library will host an array of exciting events, including storytelling sessions that illuminate the significance of Diwali, hands-on craft activities, henna painting, mindfulness practices, demonstrations of dancing, and a delightful exploration of traditional garam masala spices. “The library is thrilled and proud to celebrate as both a joyous festival of light and a chance for the community of Danbury to learn about the rich traditions and stories that illuminate it,” said Douglas Lord, the library's project coordinator. With approximately 6% of Danbury's population, or 5,400 residents, identifying as Asian, the Indian community contributes significantly to the city's cultural tapestry. Past Diwali celebrations at the Danbury Library have garnered praise from attendees, with one participant stating, "The event was a beautiful blend of culture, color, and community - a true reflection of the spirit of Diwali." Everyone is welcome to participate in this family-friendly event, which promises to be both enlightening and enjoyable.
