Source of Strength Fairfield Introduces YOUthFIT for Young Adults
YOUthFIT Program for Young Adults Ages 12-19.

Source of Strength Fairfield (SOSF) CrossFit and Chiropractic is proudly launching a new YOUthFIT program for all young adults ages 12-19. The program is set to incorporate a variety of exercises utilizing landmine and metabolic conditioning at 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Strength and power training is at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. YOUthFIT is for people with all levels of experience. Participants will be assessed, then progress through three levels of training.
YOUthFIT is structured for individuals across all levels of fitness and experience. Landmine classes will be centered around the four fundamental movements of the landmine concept. These techniques are conducted with an anchored barbell and consist of the screwdriver, jerk, clean and snatch. Strength and power classes will consist of breakdowns of Olympic weightlifting movements and mechanics. Participants will learn the proper forms for barbell use and refine their skills in the process. For those that have never used a barbell, this is the most beneficial method to learn. SOSF focuses on form before increasing weight.
In the past, SOSF has hosted youth classes in addition to working with the Fairfield Ludlowe football team for two years. In the time that SOSF coached students from Ludlowe, the team saw improvements and spikes in division I and division II scholarships.
