Every Friday night from 6 to 8 pm, join us at SONO 1420 for an unforgettable evening of live music paired with the rich, warming flavor of award-winning whiskeys and bourbons crafted right here at the distillery. I’m partial to BLAZE Cinnamon Bourbon (❤️), but whatever your go-to drink, it’s the perfect way to ease into your weekend. Kick off the month with the dynamic and soulful sounds of the Billy Genuario Duo. As a Norwalk native and an iconic figure in the SONO music scene, Billy Genuario has built a career paying tribute to some of the greatest singers and bands of all time. His powerful voice and magnetic stage presence make every performance unforgettable. Don’t miss your chance to catch this local legend in action! April 11th: Benny Mikula/The Lone Gnome
Get ready for a night of soul and storytelling as Benny Mikula takes the stage. Known as the frontman of The Alpaca Gnomes and performing solo as Benny Mikula/The Lone Gnome, this New Haven-born singer-songwriter brings a blend of folk, rock, and indie sounds. His heartfelt lyrics and passion-filled performances create an intimate, feel-good vibe that perfectly complements your favorite bourbon.
On April 18, SONO 1420 welcomes Sal Grillo, a Milford-based singing pianist whose vocal range covers classics from the 1950s to today’s top hits. Whether you’re in the mood for a nostalgic melody or a contemporary favorite, Sal’s versatile talent will keep you captivated all evening long. Don’t miss this chance to experience his smooth vocals and impressive piano skills in an intimate setting.
Closing out the month is the raw, evocative sound of Mike Milazzo. A powerhouse of Americana and alternative music, Mike is known for his soulful storytelling and unique blend of wooden and electric instruments. His latest EP, Blood Moon, features five distinct songs with moody undertones, while his full-length album, Love Is a Cage, reflects on his NYC roots, love, heartbreak, and redemption.
