Raise a Glass to Connecticut! Aquila's Nest Vineyards Nominated Among America's Best Wine Tasting Rooms
NEWTOWN, CT — One of Fairfield County's favorite wine destinations is receiving national recognition, and now the public has the opportunity to help put Connecticut on the map.
Aquila's Nest Vineyards has been nominated by USA Today's 10Best Readers'Choice Awards as one of the Best Wine Tasting Rooms in the United States. Even more impressive, the Newtown vineyard is the only winery in New England to earn a nomination in this year's competition.
Twenty wine tasting rooms from across the country were selected by a panel of travel journalists, editors, writers, and wine experts. Public voting will determine the final Top 10, making every vote an opportunity to support a locally owned Connecticut business.
Known for its picturesque setting and unforgettable experiences, Aquila's Nest has become much more than a winery.
USA Today describes the vineyard as:
"Inspired by Mediterranean heritage and astronomy, each wine at Aquila's Nest Vineyards is named after a woman from ancient history or mythology and features a constellation-themed label. In a message to supporters, the vineyard shared:

Voting is open through Monday, July 20, at noon, with the winners announced on Wednesday, July 29.

Now beginning its 23rd summer season with a mission to enrich lives through the power of theater, STONC presents a diverse array of programs each summer, featuring top talent from Broadway and beyond.
