SwingSet is a trio of accomplished musicians who offer a unique take on Swing, Jazz and Bossa standards. Wendy Matthews (ukulele and vocals) is known for her playing in the swing duo, The Edukated Fleas. She is also a popular ukulele teacher, offering group and private lessons along with her Uke from Scratch workshops, and hosts an ukulele open mic at The Towne Crier. Julie Sorcek (flute, sax and vocals) is a veteran of the Connecticut folk music scene, playing as a member of several contra and family dance bands. She's also an in demand sideman, performing in rock, pop and jazz groups in the western CT area. Ernie Pugliese (guitar), before moving back to the Nutmeg State, performed for almost two decades in various Jazz, Swing and Gypsy jazz bands in the Philly and Delaware Valley area. He's also a published Jazz writer and former restaurateur.
