Lachat Town Farm Presents "METEOR": An Immersive Halloween Experience

Weston, CT –  Get ready for a cosmic Halloween adventure like no other! Lachat Town Farm proudly announces its immersive Halloween experience, METEOR, sponsored by Coldwell Banker of Westport, CT. The event will take place over two weekends: October 18-20 and October 25-27, 2024.

This year, attendees will be transported into a chilling narrative that centers around a mysterious meteor crash, transforming the farm into a frightening, otherworldly landscape. Written, directed, and produced by the talented duo Amy MacCrae and Marc Fontaine, METEOR invites visitors to unravel the eerie events that unfold at Lachat Town Farm.


THE STORY:
In a chilling twist on the true event of a comet that crash-landed in Weston on December 14, 1807, strange occurrences plague the farm. As you walk through the transformed landscape, you’ll encounter disturbing creatures and supernatural surprises. Can you solve the mystery behind the meteor before it’s too late?

WHAT TO EXPECT:

●     Interactive Walking Tour: A 45-minute guided adventure filled with live actors, horrific scenes, and chilling surprises.

●     Storytelling at Its Finest: Experience the "almost true" story of the meteor and discover Weston in a completely new light.

●     Concessions: Seasonal treats and drinks will be available for purchase.

EVENT DETAILS:

●     Location: Upper field entrance, 1 Ladder Hill Road S, Weston, CT (please do not go to the main Godfrey entrance).

●     Age Recommendation: This experience includes intense and frightening content. Parental discretion is strongly advised, with a recommendation for ages 12 and up. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

●     Important Notes: Expect loud noises, strobing lights, disturbing imagery, and intense scenes. This is a walking tour only, with tickets sold in time slots accommodating 30 people per slot.

Tickets for
METEOR support Lachat Town Farm’s operating costs and educational programs. The 6 PM time slot will begin just before sunset, ensuring a spooky atmosphere as night falls. Please arrive on time, as late arrivals may not be admitted.

POLICIES:

●     No refunds or exchanges.

●     No dogs allowed.

●     Outside food and drink are permitted but must be carried out as there will be no trash receptacles on-site.

●     Non-alcoholic hot beverages and snacks will be available for purchase.

●     This is a rain-or-shine event; rescheduling will occur only in cases of inclement weather.

Brews on Bedford, presented by Stamford Downtown, returns on Saturday, June 28 from 2–5pm in Latham Park on Bedford Street, featuring craft beer from 20+ breweries. Tickets are on sale now through Afton . Guests can fill a sampling glass with beer from a variety of regional breweries while enjoying live music by Casual Friday , lawn games, and local food vendors. Participating breweries include: Barn Brew Co., Berlinetta Brewing, Best Friends Lunch, Captain Zig, Charter Oak Brewing, Devil's Purse Brewing Co, East Rock Brewing, Eli Cannons Brewing Collective, Elicit Brewery, Fishers Island Lemonade, Greenwich Brewing Company, Half Full Brewery, Hop & Vine Tap Room, Lock City, Nod Hill Brewery, Spacecat Brewing Company, Twelvenote Brew Co., Whalers and more!
