Homes for the Brave’s "For Veterans, By Veterans" Comedy Night

BRIDGEPORT, CT (February 4, 2025) - Get ready to laugh out loud for a great cause as Homes for the Brave (HFTB) presents their highly anticipated 9th Annual "For Veterans, By Veterans" Comedy Night. This year's event promises to be better than ever before, featuring three professional U.S. Military Veteran comedians who will perform to benefit Veterans experiencing homelessness in Connecticut.

The event will take place on Friday, March 28th, 2025 at Vazzano's Four Seasons in Stratford, CT. Guests will be treated to a delicious dinner, cocktails, exciting door prizes, and a 50/50 raffle starting at 6:00 pm, followed by an unforgettable comedy show at 8:00 pm. This event is being produced by Brad Axelrod, current owner of Connecticut Comedy for Cash and former owner/operator of Treehouse Comedy. Connecticut Comedy for Cash is the most experienced, dependable, unique & professional comedy night fundraising team in the state.

"As the Comedy Night kicks off, it’s not just about laughter; it’s about raising awareness and showing our unwavering support for Veterans facing homelessness," said Phillip Modesti, a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and Comedy Night Co-Chair, "This night of laughter goes beyond just entertainment—it’s about bringing people together, sharing joy, and making a real difference in the lives of our Veterans. It’s not just about the punchlines; it’s about offering support and hope to those who’ve given so much for our country. As we laugh, we also lift up the spirits of those who’ve sacrificed for our freedom, reminding them they are never forgotten. Through this event, we not only celebrate humor, but also stand united in our commitment to ensuring our Veterans have the support and opportunities they deserve."

Homes for the Brave is proud to have three talented comedians in the lineup for the night, all of whom are Veterans of the U.S. Military: Johnny Watson (U.S. Navy) as the headliner, Jody Fuller (U.S. Army) as the co-headliner, and Steve Scarfo (U.S. Army) as the opening act.

Tickets for the event are $100 per person, which includes a sit-down dinner, a cash bar, and the comedy show. Guests can also purchase tables of 10 for $1,000. Sponsorship opportunities are available, ranging from $100 to $3,000, for those who want to support this great cause. To purchase tickets or a sponsorship package, visit www.homesforthebrave.org/comedy. For further inquiries, please call (203) 338-0669 and ask for Mea Allbert.
