Whether you’re a long-time fan of live comedy or just looking for a fun night out, this series is packed with talent, variety, and unforgettable performances. Here’s what’s in store:

📅 September 4 – Josh Wolf

Doors: 7:00 PM | Show: 8:00 PM

The series kicks off with Josh Wolf, a stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and New York Times best-selling author who has been making audiences laugh for nearly three decades.

Starting his career in Boston and Seattle, Josh went on to open for industry legends like Larry the Cable Guy and Chelsea Handler before establishing himself as a global headliner. His sharp wit and relatable humor have made him a fan favorite across North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Expect a high-energy, laugh-packed night to launch the ETH Comedy Series.

📅 September 25 – Funny Women of a Certain Age

Doors 6:00pm, Show 7:00pm

Created by veteran comedian and producer Carole Montgomery, Funny Women of a Certain Age made history in 2019 as the first comedy special featuring an all-female lineup over 50 years old. Premiering on Showtime, it became the network’s highest-rated comedy special of the year and inspired follow-ups that showcased even more powerhouse talent.

For ETH’s Comedy Series, Carole Montgomery will be joined by Julia Scotti and Leighann Lord, delivering razor-sharp humor and raw, unfiltered stories about life, aging, and everything in between. This performance promises to be an empowering, hilarious night of comedy.

📅 October 11 – The Headliners Club

Doors 7:00pm, Show 8:00pm

Looking for a night of back-to-back stand-up brilliance? The Headliners Club brings together three powerhouse comedians—Erin Maguire, Gastor Almonte, and Graham Kay—for one unforgettable showcase.

Each performer takes the stage for an extended set, delivering their sharpest material and biggest laughs. These comics have been seen on Netflix, Comedy Central, and The Tonight Show, but at Edmond Town Hall, you’ll get the full experience—without NYC traffic or ticket prices.

📅 December 12 – Paul Virzi

Doors 7:00pm, Show 8:00pm

Closing out the Fall Comedy Series is none other than Paul Virzi, one of the fastest-rising names in stand-up. Paul headlines top clubs and theatres across North America and hosts multiple hit podcasts including The Virzi Effect and Anything Better.

He has performed at legendary venues such as Madison Square Garden, the Chicago Theatre, and Carnegie Hall, and brings his sharp, observational humor to ETH for one night only. Don’t miss your chance to catch this comedy heavyweight up close.

Brookfield Film Festival: A Small Town with a Big Film Legacy Brookfield, CT - Brookfield, Connecticut may be a small town, but it holds a meaningful place in the regional film community. Located in Fairfield County within the southern foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, Brookfield is bordered by Candlewood Lake and Lake Lillinonah and sits just 43 miles northeast of New York City. With a population of approximately 17,000, the town has become a welcoming hub for independent filmmakers. Now in its 18th year, the Brookfield Film Festival continues to gain momentum inside the historic Brookfield Theatre for the Arts. Sponsored by the all-volunteer Brookfield Arts Commission, the festival not only celebrates independent film, but also supports arts education. Proceeds benefit the Brookfield Arts Commission Arts Scholarship Award, presented annually to a graduating Brookfield high school senior pursuing a degree in the arts. This year’s two-day festival features four curated program blocks. Regional Indie Afternoon showcases films from Connecticut and neighboring states, followed by filmmaker Q&A discussions. Read-Through Indie Morning, presented with the Brookfield Theatre for the Arts, gives screenwriters the opportunity to hear their work read aloud and network with actors and filmmakers in a collaborative setting, complete with complimentary coffee and pastries. Shorts and to the Point highlights a handpicked selection of Oscar-nominated and award-winning short films, while Music Indie Evening features original music videos from regional artists and filmmakers. The Brookfield Film Festival takes place March 27 through March 29 at the Brookfield Theatre for the Arts, located at 184 Whisconier Road in Brookfield, CT. A $15 suggested donation supports festival programming and scholarships. Light refreshments and festival merchandise will be available throughout the weekend.
