CLASP Presents Taste of Westport: A Culinary Celebration Benefiting Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
CLASP, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing homes, support, and services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), is delighted to announce the return of its flagship fundraising event, Taste of Westport. This year’s culinary extravaganza will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 6 to 9:30pm at the iconic Inn at Longshore, located at 260 Compo Rd. S., Westport, CT.
Now in its 18th year, Taste of Westport is renowned for bringing together the finest purveyors of food and drink in the area, and this year is no exception. Attendees will have the opportunity to indulge in a diverse array of culinary delights, wines, and spirits from more than two dozen local establishments. Live music will be provided by The Bar Car Band, a favorite fixture on the Fairfield County music scene.
“We’re thrilled to have Baldanza at the Schoolhouse in Wilton join our esteemed lineup of participants this year,” said Tracy Flood, CLASP President. Accomplished restaurateur, Bill Taibe, is also back this year with one of his newer Westport eateries. In addition to satisfying their palates, guests can explore the impressive silent auction, which features a variety of items generously donated by local businesses. From gift certificates to exclusive experiences, there is something for everyone to enjoy while supporting a worthy cause.
“Taste of Westport is not only a celebration of the area’s vibrant food scene, but it is also a testament to the generosity of our community,” remarked Flood. “With the support of our attendees, sponsors, and vendors, we can continue to provide loving homes and essential services to over 100 adults with IDD throughout Fairfield County.” This year’s sponsors include Wiggin and Dana, Assured Partners, Daniel E. Tickets for Taste of Westport are $150 per person from March 22nd until April 12th, and $175 thereafter.
