About Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards is more than an acclaimed actor known for iconic roles in film and television—he’s also a survivor and advocate for male survivors of sexual abuse. His personal journey of healing, resilience, and advocacy is deeply tied to his love for acting, which provided a path to connection and recovery after enduring abuse by a mentor.

While acting was initially a source of betrayal, it ultimately became a lifeline, allowing Edwards to channel his experiences into powerful performances and compassionate advocacy. As the former Chairman of the Board for 1 in 6, an organization supporting male survivors of sexual abuse, Anthony’s story is a testament to the transformative power of art and human connection.

About Stephen Mills

Stephen Mills is the acclaimed author of Chosen: A Memoir of Stolen Boyhood, which won a 2022 National Jewish Book Award, and coauthor of Next of Kin: My Conversations with Chimpanzees, a Los Angeles Times Best Book of the Year. A lifelong advocate for human rights and child protection, Mills brings profound insight and empathy to his work.

As an Ambassador for CHILD USA and a board member of Darkness to Light, Stephen is dedicated to empowering adults to prevent child sexual abuse. His moving memoir, Chosen, has inspired countless readers and shed light on the enduring impact of abuse and the strength found in healing.

An Evening of Insight and Empowerment

This event promises to be a powerful evening of dialogue, reflection, and hope, as Edwards and Mills share their stories of resilience and their work in advocacy and healing. Their experiences will offer profound insights into the human spirit’s capacity to overcome adversity.
