35,000 Daffodils Return in Spectacular Second-Year Bloom at Aquila’s Nest Vineyards in Sandy Hook

Golden sunsets over the vineyard create one of Connecticut’s most breathtaking spring experiences.

SANDY HOOK, Conn. — Spring has arrived in unforgettable fashion at Aquila’s Nest Vineyards, where 35,000 daffodils are now in bloom for their second stunning season, transforming the vineyard into a sea of golden yellow against the estate’s rolling hills and signature sunset views.

Planted by hand across the property, the daffodils have returned even more beautifully in their second year, creating a breathtaking seasonal landscape that stretches through the vines and throughout the scenic 41-acre estate. As the sun begins to set each evening, the blooms glow beneath Aquila’s Nest’s iconic hilltop sunset backdrop, offering guests one of the most picturesque spring experiences in Connecticut.

“This bloom is incredibly special for us because it reflects the care, vision, and love we continue to pour into every corner of Aquila’s Nest,” said Neviana Zhgaba, co-founder of Aquila’s Nest Vineyards. “Seeing these 35,000 daffodils return for a second year, framed by our vineyard sunsets, feels magical. It’s exactly the kind of memorable experience we love creating for our community.”

Known for blending wine, art, nature, and immersive experiences, Aquila’s Nest invites guests to enjoy the bloom while sipping award-winning wines, relaxing in scenic seating experiences, and taking in panoramic sunset views that have become a hallmark of the vineyard.

Visitors can pair the daffodil bloom with wine tastings, fire pit reservations, pergola experiences, live music, and seasonal events, making this limited spring window one of the most sought-after times to visit.

The second-year bloom also highlights the vineyard’s continued commitment to creating destination-worthy seasonal moments that celebrate both nature and hospitality.
