Event Details
The 17th Annual Brookfield Film Festival will take place from
March 27 - March 30 at the Brookfield Theater for the Arts, located at 184 Whisconier Road, Brookfield, CT. The festival is organized by the Brookfield Arts Commission, an all-volunteer group dedicated to supporting the arts.

Proceeds from the festival go towards the Brookfield Arts Commission Arts Scholarship Award, presented annually to a graduating high school senior from Brookfield pursuing a degree in the arts.

Admission: A $15 suggested donation. Reservations can be made by emailing brookfieldartscommissionct@gmail.com.



Refreshments and Merchandise
Light refreshments and festival merchandise will be available throughout the weekend.



Festival Blocks

  1. Regional Indie Afternoon
    This block provides a platform for local filmmakers to introduce their work, discuss topics from their films, and share insights about the filmmaking process. Submissions are invited from filmmakers residing in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, or films shot in these states. Accepted filmmakers are also invited to participate in a
    Q & A panel discussion following the screening.
  2. Read-Through Indie Morning
    Created in collaboration with the
    Brookfield Theatre for the Arts, this block offers screenwriters the opportunity to showcase scenes from their scripts and network with actors and filmmakers. The table reading features scripts being read aloud, including dialogue and stage directions, allowing writers to refine their stories and improve dialogue. Complimentary coffee, tea, and pastries will be provided.
  3. Shorts and to the Point
    A curated selection of
    Oscar-nominated and other award-winning short films. Screenings will be held on Friday evening, Saturday evening, and Sunday afternoon.
  4. Music Indie Evening
    This block showcases
    music videos featuring original music from bands located in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
