Finding NEMO Jr. comes to The Klein on July 15!
Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo JR. is swimming to audiences in style thanks to the dedication and talent of students and staff from Fairfield Performing Arts Studio. Fairfield Performing Arts Studio will present the Junior production of the Lopez’s Finding Nemo Jr. on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at The Klein Memorial Auditorium at 910 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport.
The charming 60-minute musical, designed for middle school-aged performers, is based on the beloved 2003 Pixar film Finding Nemo— Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as the optimistic Dory, the laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.
When adapting the esteemed 2003 film into its musical theater form, the award-winning songwriting team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez created an all-new musical experience guaranteed to delight and entertain audiences of all ages. Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,”
Finding Nemo JR. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.
Excited to be directing another production this summer, Jennifer Kenny founded Fairfield Performing Arts Studio (FPAS) in 2008 to provide professional acting instruction to people of all ages.
