CT Renaissance Faire is Weekends Through 10/16!

The 24th annual Connecticut Renaissance Faire is happening weekends through October 16, the faire a recreation of a 16th-century harvest festival!
Public-friendly pets are welcome to join their human companions for a day of old-world fun and festivities. Rub elbows with costumed performers as you explore more than 80 themed storefronts with your pet on the Faire’s 7.5-acre village and marketplace. Admission for pets is $5, and they must have proof of rabies vaccine and a static leash no more than 6 feet in length. When you’re not exploring the Faire’s village of “Lebanshire,” you can enjoy performances on ten different stages with magicians, sword swallowers, comedians, fire breathers, rope walkers, and numerous circus style acts. Treat your little friend to a special day together.
For seven consecutive weekends each year, the Renaissance is reborn on a beautiful 7.5-acre site in the countryside of Lebanon, Connecticut. The 24th annual Connecticut Renaissance Faire celebrates the past with costumed performers and merchants who breathe life into the days of yore. Go to the Faire to eat, drink, shop and have fun!
There are 10 stages, with continuous shows performed all day, each day! Shows are even performed in the streets of the village! You'll also find a medieval marketplace, lots of local craft beer, and great food. Each weekend of the Faire revolves around a new theme ranging from pirates and time travelers to wizards, romance, and even Halloween. The Connecticut Renaissance Faire also hosts after-hours events, with their most anticipated being Halloween Knights, which is a one-of-a-kind Halloween event designed for all ages. According to its website, the Faire encourages guests to “Feast like a King, Shop like a Queen, and Laugh like a Fool.” Feasting like a king is easy with many savory foods, craft brews, and sweet desserts. There are plenty of shows that will have you laughing your fool head off, too. The shopping is just what you’d imagine with jewelry, face painting, henna, artwork, pottery, costuming, swords, armor, and more.
Feel free to wear your favorite medieval costume! Trained performers enjoy interacting with patrons, especially those who come dressed for the part. Regardless of whether you come in costume or as you are, you’ll be shouting the royal cheer of “Huzzah” more than once before the day is up.
The CT Renaissance Faire is located at 122 Mack Road, Lebanon, CT, and is open weekend days through October 16, plus Columbus Day, from 10:30 AM to 6 PM.
Tickets are $15 for ages 16 and over, $10 for ages 7-15. Children under age 7 are admitted for free.
