Newtown Arts Festival is Celebrating its 10th Year!

Newtown's Annual Arts Festival, now in its 10th year, highlights all forms of creative expression –visual arts, dance, music, the written word, and theater–in a town-wide celebration.
The festival kicks off on Friday, September 16th with Amy Helm live in concert at Edmond Town Hall. Doors will open at 5:30, when concertgoers can enjoy cocktails in the Alexandria Room. The concert begins at 8pm.
The two-day, outdoor art event (Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th) on the Fairfield Hills Campus focuses on bringing the community together to enjoy local talent in visual art, dance, music and food. Visit the Arts Fest to explore the arts!
The 2022 Newtown Arts Festival will have food trucks, dance performances, 60 artists, a wine and beer garden, t-shirt painting, and music all day long on the Main Stage. Also featured will be Circus Moves, where visitors can try their hands at juggling and walking on stilts, and Mattica Arts.
The Newtown Arts Festival is put on by the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission, whose mission, according to its website, is to support and promote Newtown’s artists. Money raised at the Arts Festival directly benefits the local artist community via project grants and scholarships. Each year, four graduating seniors who will be majoring in the arts receive scholarships, and two grants are awarded- one to a local artist and one to a local established art group or organization.
