One year later his brother-in-law, Jim DeSantie, passed from the same cancer. Jim was a proud Marine and proud of his country. He lived his life with a high moral standard that never wavered. Located in Fairfield County within the southern foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, Brookfield is bordered by Candlewood Lake and Lake Lillinonah and sits just 43 miles northeast of New York City. With a population of approximately 17,000, the town has become a welcoming hub for independent filmmakers.
