The late Volker Klemm, founder of the Old Heidelberg German Restaurant, had a dream and a vision to open up his own place long before it's doors ever opened. Since opening in 2004, he and his wife Dunja upheld the best of German food and traditions, building a loyal following year after year. Dunja, her sister, and a dedicated, friendly staff still carry on the tradition today.
The Old Heidelberg fills a need in the area and guests don't hesitate to travel from far away to experiene this Old World charmer with it's fine German cuisine.
There is a great selection of imported German beer and wine; some of which come from Dunja's hometown of Kiedrich, nestled among the vineyards of one of Germany's finest Riesling wines, in the Rheingau region of Germany.
Come down on Tuesday nights and enjoy Old Heidelberg's full German buffet. Eat all your favorites and try some new ones including appetizers and dessert for one price. Come early, this has become a very popular night!
In the summertime enjoy sitting outside with friends and family.
And of course, there is no other Oktoberfest in Fairfield County that can compare to that of the Old Heidelberg!
Full catering is also available.
Prost!
